Who is a racist?

I think someone who thinks that only blacks receive food stamps is racist, or at least has racist tendencies. To be fair, maybe they do not even know they are racist and it is just embedded in the underpinning of the cultural reality they grew up in.

David Gregory and Joan Walsh come to mind among others.

Pretty much everyone is racist. Like it or not. I read a study somewhere that showing someone of the same race jabbed with a needle inspired a lot of empathy but seeing someone of a different race inspired significantly less. Weirdly seeing someone purple jabbed also inspired empathy. We have more compassion for Barney than we do for someone of a different race.

Why are their cries of racism? It seems like the ones who think the comment is racist are the racists. Is it because Obama is black? Is it because Newt is white? Is it because more white people are on food stamps? What is it? Inquiring minds want to know. It seems that I "do not get it" on this subject as well.

I just scanned the article, and will read it more tomorrow.

But on the face of it, have to agree with you Neptune. It looks pretty disturbing to me.

Let's discuss the issues, and leave this racist crap out of it. This looks like the leftist version of birthers. But will read it more when I have time...

"Food Stamp President" just means he's pandering to the growing entilement attitude among ALL races. Detroit is famous for being a real toilet of a city, regardless of the skin tone of the occupants.

That article reaches so far to find racism I'm surprised the author didn't throw his arm out of joint.

But that is politics. You throw out an accusation so your opponent spends precious time defending themselves against the assertion. As Arbor pointed out in another thread, we waste so much time arguing along political fronts that nothing gets done. Now that stumping for the presidency has begun, we can be sure so see much more of this BS.

Yep, let's use the racist card since it is sure to stir emotions, something all politicians are adept at doing to achieve their end.
