They aren't cutting and running.
It is time to give those people their country back.
SG...The US has been lowering troop levels in Iraq for some time now.
Gee, it only took one post to trot out, and dust off, the ol' "cut and run" meme....
Alert the media!!! I agree with Becky, and (of course) SG... It's time to give the Iraqis their country back....(Particularly since they had nothing to do with 9/11; there WERE NO WMD's so the invasion was a boondoggle; Bin Laden is dead--so is Saddam [who had nothing to do with it in the first place]; we threw billions at it...including a few billion in missing cash, and there are a bunch of contractors running around with bulging pockets.. etc.)
It IS time to give these people their country back... If that's "cut and run", let me hold the door open for them....

The U.S. needs to be out of Iraq. U.S. should never have been there in the first place. Britain started this whole mess and needs to be the one who stays there to straighten it out; not the first to leave.
You can only misunderstand my previous post if you are not knowledgable about the Middle East. Go figure.
No one here is ignorant of the point you were trying to make... As usual, it's got about the same amount of relevance today as trying to dredge up 18th and 19th century sensibilities and political views to discuss 21st century politics...
