Inmates at Chino State Prison walk past their bunk beds in a gymnasium that was modified to house prisoners, in this Dec. 10, 2010 photo in Chino, Calif. A bitterly divided Supreme Court today upheld a lower court ruling that California must reduce its prison population by at least 30,000 in order to alleviate constitutional violations caused by overcrowding.
End of 3 strikes? And call me cynical, are the private prison corporations behind this effort? I have read in other states, private prisons are having trouble findiing "customers" as the population ages and the crime rate continues to fall, so importing prisoners from Cali might be the solution if Cali can afford to do this.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Time for more ammo.
Guess where all those slimeballs are going to go, if they're on they're 2 strikes, they will head out of state, doubt they'll all do a favor and go west. EDITED: They all have a skill set and will going right on making money with that skill set, Think about it!
BTW, Heard from Hewett, 25K is min. and 40K will be max.
EDITED AGAIN:Crime Teens Caught on Video Attacking Employees & Trashing NYC Dunkin’ Donuts
A group of teens in lower Manhattan was caught on video trashing a local Dunkin’ Donuts shop and attacking workers. The rowdy youngsters can be seen climbing on counters and throwing chairs and tables in the violent attack. Apparently this isn’t the first time this has happened in the area. One store owner told local WNYW-TV that a mob of teens did the same thing to his business a week earlier.

I read a while back that California spends somewhere north of $35,000 per year per prisoner, where Texas for example is spending less than half of that. That might be part of the problem. The other issue facing California is the sheer numbers of illegals in their prison system. I bet if California adopted some of sheriff Joe’s policies they could cut their population and expenses.

California libs are sadistic racists. Prisoners in Gitmo have it better.
