Well, I suppose if you can collect all the pertinent information needed to reach a conclusion from hearing one side of the story then what the officer did was wrong. I, myself, think there is more to it that what the ACLU has decided to bless us with.
Perhaps the guy getting the ticket was upset because he had his kids in the car. Maybe the fellow did more than simply make a silent gesture as he drove by. I'm sure that he would want to make sure the trooper saw his free speech after all, so I'm willing to be that he drew attention to himself in some manner (laying on the horn perhaps?) to make sure the trooper saw him display his IQ as he drove by. Most folks don't have such a visceral reaction to seeing a trooper unless they have had other run ins that didn't go so well. People who have some semblance of mental stability don't behave in this manner unprovoked, so I'm thinking there has to be something in this nut's history. Or perhaps he just has anger issues.
Regardless, as Paul Harvey would say, I'm waiting for the rest of the story...............
I've noticed that just about anybody that disagrees with anybody else loudly can be charged with Misdemeanor Harrassment- which carries a possible 10 year sentance and $10,000 fine in Colorado if my memory serves me correctly.
BTW-You Right Wing haters are responsible for all these laws on the books...The USA-13% of the worlds population, but 25% of the worlds incarcerated..
what do you mean by "You Right Wing haters are responsible for all these laws on the books."?
We live in the most vindictive society on earth..We wanna lock up people who just want to feed thier family's (ilegal imigration)..We wanna cage up people who just wanna feel good (drug abusers), we don't want to help anybody (tea party)..We just wanna punish eachother...And most of that is coming from the Right..
