Well IF they can prove that this is some Bietbart hackjob, I'd really be surpised. It just doesn't seem plausible to me, especially after watching the weiner squirm when he was interviewed. If he didn't do it, why didn't he just say "NO, I did not send that pic" ? Easy enough just to say no, which he did not. We'll see.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Jon Stewart, Weiner's old college buddy, weighed in on the whole controversy Tuesday night in a manner fitting the story:
"In real life, in my memory, this guy had a lot more 'Anthony' and a lot less 'Weiner,'" Stewart said. "The only thing they have in common is that they both lean to the extreme left!"

Agreed, I caught a few minutes of the Representative's latest session with the press while I was eating lunch, talk about going out of your way to avoid answering direct questions! He was asked multiple times by multiple reporters for a simple yes or no answer, Weiner refused to give a yes or no answer and deferred the reporters to previous press releases his staff had already issued. When asked why he didn't get law enforcement involved to find out who and how his Twitter account was hacked he played the incident off as a prank that someone is using to distract him from voting on raising the debit ceiling limit.
A politician not telling the truth is hardly shocking but the plausibility of Weiner's story continues to evaporate and he is only making it worse every time he meets with the press.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

And this is who Weiner is supposed to be worried about and respond to?
Got it....
But please be unlike Wiener-boy and answer the question, do you think he sent a sext out? We all know men of power tend to behave badly, the IMF guy, the Egyptian banker today, Ahnold last week, or do you think he is innocent?
Or better yet, double standard, Dems get a pass because what they do in thier private life is ok?
And if he is guilty, should Nancy Pelosi show him the door? Or would you give him a pass?
Oh wait, attack the messenger, so you think Oscar Mayer was framed?

Deflect, deflect, deflect.
What's this got to do with Breitbart now? The story is being covered by many news sources. Congressman Weiner won't answer direct questions from the press. He won't even say if the photo is of him or not.
Do you have an opinion on the actual subject? If the photo was actually posted by Mr. Weiner, should he step down like the shirtless Republican did? And yes, I do recall that you originated the thread here about that guy, and you were so happy about his predicament. Hey, I posted in your thread and joked about it, just as I'm joking about Mr. Weiner. Why not join us in enjoying watching this Congressman squirm, just as you enjoyed the Republican?
It looks like weiner-gate really blew up today. Top Google news headlines now.
At today's Briefing about the Briefs, its sounds like he can't say for sure if the pic was of him or not.
This silly scandal distraction may actually help the Dems. The economic news this week has been dismal, mfg. slowing, housing heading down again, weak job nos., stocks tanking today, debt ceiling talks going nowhere.
If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2
Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

Good point Joe. Speaking for myself I've been beaten down by all the bad economic news and unsurprised by the lack of progress in Gubment. If Weinergate is really a cunning plan to distract the public it worked for me, I even found it mildly entertaining and somewhat educational. What I don't understand is how Weiner thinks he can continue to give ambiguous answers to some very basic questions and expect anyone to believe him.
As for his recently departed Republican counterpart, it turns out he sent his pic to a woman on Craig's List who had posted that she was looking for men. Turns out he is (was?) married and has children but in his post claimed he was employed as a lobbyist and he was single. I say if it turns out Weiner has a similar back story then show him the door on the same basis!
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

what is it about politicians that think that whatever they do will not be splashed all over the internet and the news, no matter what it is? It is almost impossible to hide anything now days, and even if you are not guilty of whatever it is, if you get all slimy with the press you will for sure look worse. It never ceases to amaze me how dumb some of them are when it comes to stuff like this.
