Hollywood Pushes a Liberal Agenda

This is controversial? Really? Seems more on a par of the sun will rise in the East tomorrow.

"In clips that will hit the Internet to promote a new book, producers including "Friends" co-creator Marta Kauffman and "House" creator David Shore say Hollywood discriminates against and belittles conservatives.
Some of TV’s top executives from the past four decades may have gotten more than they bargained for when they agreed to be interviewed for a politically charged book that was released Tuesday, because video of their controversial remarks will soon be hitting the Internet."

Michael Medved brought this up more than a decade ago.

I don't think it's a controversial comment, at all - simply true.

I'm not sure all the sheep out there realize they have been fed liberal messages over the years on tv and the movies, but many are starting to wake up as those messages become more blatant. So I hope Hollywood goes all-in and it ends up backfiring badly in 2012.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Why should this bother anyone? Hollywood is all about fiction. Nobody takes it seriously, since they know it is all make believe. It's not as if the movie & tv directors are making up news and broadcasting it every night.

But then again, judging from the "Patton" thread here, perhaps people do take movies as news.

Smart people don't take it seriously, but do you really think that the people who watch hours and hours of television are smart enough to know the difference between reality and BS? I say that because it seems like half the shows out there are "reality" shows and half are fiction....then you find out the reality shows are also fiction because they are being manipulated (some) to get a desired result.

And you can't say that "nobody takes it seriously" when there have been many crimes committed based on the story lines of TV and the movies. I'm sure there are lots more people who just don't take their illusions to the next level.

You don't give your fellow citizens enough credit. I'm fairly sure that people who are watching "whatever is the latest popular tv show" realize that it is not reality. I'm sure that people who go watch "Harry Potter" or "Red October" or "Meet the Fokkers" know that they are not real.

There will always be a few nutjobs that will think it's reality, but I'm sure that 99.9% of the people watching "Miami CSI" know that it is entertainment.

Oh ya, Hollywood has blessed us and our children with decades of "fun" including violence and rape against women, murders, and criminal acts of every kind. Somewhere along the line, maybe 60 years ago, Hollywood decided to start shocking us because it brought in more money and every year the imagenext decade...MORE FUN!!!!s became more graphic and sick. I just can't wait to see how they will continue to shock us in the next decade....YAAA! MORE FUN!!!

Maybe I don't. But let me ask you this, do you believe that people who watch lots of TV are smarter or as smart as people who watch very little in general, or do you think it makes no difference?
