I say that because it seems like half the shows out there are "reality" shows and half are fiction....then you find out the reality shows are also fiction because they are being manipulated (some) to get a desired result.

And you can't say that "nobody takes it seriously" when there have been many crimes committed based on the story lines of TV and the movies. I'm sure there are lots more people who just don't take their illusions to the next level.

You don't give your fellow citizens enough credit. I'm fairly sure that people who are watching "whatever is the latest popular tv show" realize that it is not reality. I'm sure that people who go watch "Harry Potter" or "Red October" or "Meet the Fokkers" know that they are not real.

There will always be a few nutjobs that will think it's reality, but I'm sure that 99.9% of the people watching "Miami CSI" know that it is entertainment.

Maybe I don't. But let me ask you this, do you believe that people who watch lots of TV are smarter than people who watch very little in general or do you think it makes no difference?

Honestly, I have no opinion either way. I can't make a generalization on intelligence based on time spent watching tv. I know very intelligent people that watch a lot of the tube and not so intelligent that watch very little. And vice versa.

IMO, it makes no dif, dumb and smart watch TV. That was a stupid question , are people that read smarter than those that don't? It depends on what you watch or read. the media is irrelevant.

I think more damage is done by news organizations that broadcast willfully slanted news stories. People watch (and read) news with less of a critical eye than they do when they are watching entertainment shows or movies.

Golly, gee, gosh, you really associate with people who watch hours and hours of Fox News? Or maybe with your all knowing mind you can just tell by how the speak or write....after all, you know who is a racist without any actual evidence.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
