Yes, all that stuff about "loving kids for exactly who they are", and teaching them about playing together and sharing without being selfish--(and charging the other kids a fee to play with their toys, etc.), must drive the righties over the edge... (Of course, it's probably the same folks that hear Satanic messages when you play the "Theme Song from 'Mister Ed'" backwards...)
As a kid I spent 6 weeks on Romper Room- my mom was friends with the mirror lady. And let me tell you- she was a slave driver. The best part was after the show- a few of us rowdy kids would invade the "bowling for dollars" set next door and mess stuff up- spin the wheel a few times.
I think the problem with Big Bird is that he's never had his ass kicked. If I had the chance, I'd roll up on him and give him a good "east L.A. ass whoopin". After I'm done- there'll be nothing left but a trail of yellow feathers all up and down sesame street, and fried chicken for dinner!
