The Economist had a column this week about how man is terraforming the world, it trumps up the idea than man-based carbon influences temperature levels and say global warming is actually pretty minor considering how much more man plays with the world, from beaches and deltas that are washing away to 80% of vegatation being controlled by man in the name of agriculture or the remaining animals only existing because man permits it.
One of the interesting examples they used was the massive tar sand mining projects in Canada where thousands of acres of land are being transformed.
:bash Anyone agree with the Economist, in the wake of thousands of acres of land being paved over or farmed with nitrogen based fertilizers, the temp changing by a couple of degrees seems pretty minor.
