Foremost, I would like to say that yes, the fawn in the picture is cute  However, isn't the Dept. of Wildlife funded by taxes? So aren't there at least ten other more important things they could be doing with various funds versus saving a fawn that was going to die in a "circle of life" kind of manner? Seemed like a natreAl way to go to me. I don't think I agree with the expenditure of any resources for this kind of purpose.

Actually it was the Larimer County dive team that did the rescue. Good for them, using this opportunity to practice in a high water situation.

Correct, I guess I had a space cadet moment and associated the two. The dive team is volunteer I take it? Oh well, it seemed like a juicy apple at first.

Isn't the Colorado Division of Wildlife funding coming largely from sales of hunting and fishing licenses? And isn't the properly managed funds the very reason the State Government wants to raid these funds to pilfer for state parks?

The silent majority will be silent no more.

Yes the CDOW is, but if it is a fire department or other then it would be tax $$.

Fawns are very tasty but not alot of meat.
