Hey - more great news about the new health care laws....
80% of us are covered now by our employer- but in 2014 it will change
Thirty percent of employers will definitely or probably stop offering health benefits to their employees once the main provisions of President Obama's federal health care law go into effect in 2014, a new survey finds.
The research published in the McKinsey Quarterly found that the number rises to 50 percent among employers who are highly aware of the health care law.
I expect that it will be overturned in the courts before then. With any luck the entire bill will get tossed out by SCOTUS, not just the individual mandate part. If not, then I expect that quite a few of the states will pass laws exempting themselves from this federal overreach and set up another round of battles in the courts. By the time that is all said and done and all the injunctions lifted, we might even have a Congress and a President who recognize that the federal government has no business doing what it did that repeals the law entirely. If none of that happens, the law won't be in effect for very long before economic collapse renders all the laws of the former union obsolete.
Well No Duh! Anyone outside Washington DC with a heartbeat could have seen this coming. A massive, poorly thought out, take over of health insurance (health care) is bound to have lots of unintended consequences.
The penalties for non-compliance with the unconstitutional mandate are way too small compared to the exploding cost of health plans. The insurance cos. know it, businesses know it, informed citizens know it. Only Twits in Congress that never had a real job or business in their public service career don't know it.
And there is no way that a future congress will be able to increase penalties and kill jobs with 8-9% unemployment. So the result of this law will be LESS people with insurance. But increasing coverage was never the plan anyway, the plan was to destroy the current system so government can take it over and fix prices (and decrease quality and availability) assuming there is still a solvent government in 2014.
Hopefully this mess will be overturned by the Supreme court. If not, say goodnight.

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.
I would say more unintended consequences but maybe this was the intention after all. What, your big bad employer won't pay more for your health insurance? Government to the rescue!!
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Thats right, government to the rescue. And who will you then vote for, why whoever promises to keep your gov't bennies going. Brilliant!
It doesn't look like the appellate court case is going well for Obama's lawyers. Whoever voted for this law should be thrown in jail for violating their Constitutional oath.
"I can't find any case like this," said Chief Judge Joel Dubina of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. "If we uphold this, are there any limits" on the power of the federal government? he asked.
Judge Stanley Marcus appeared to agree. "I can't find any case" in the past where the courts upheld "telling a private person they are compelled to purchase a product in the open market…. Is there anything that suggests Congress can do this?"
