US Firearms in Mexico

The libs are up in arms (pun intended) about US arms that end up in Mexico.

Each year, there's over 150 million people crossing the US/Mexico border.

Around 3 million trucks cross the border, annually.

I don't think it's surprising that 20,000 US-made firearms were found in Mexico (over a 2 year period).

Each year, 5.5 million firearms are manufactured in the United States. Of that total - 10,000/year end up in Mexico.

(2 out of every thousand - and that's assuming that all recovered firearms are new).

These figures don't sound like an industrial conspiracy to me. Sorry, Felipe Calderon --- I disagree.

Amazing how perspective introduces context into an issue, isn't it. We can't have that bb. Context is only something that is allowed to be removed for the purposes of partisanship, not introduced for clarity.

Then if you factor in the number of firearms that crossed the border WITH BATFE'S KNOWLEDGE (duh!!!) the numbers grow even smaller.

Hey, any of you guys know what gun shop it is where these cartel guys are buying fully-automatics and grenades??? I'd sure like to see that shop... rofllol rofllol

:like: Have to agree. If we can't keep out millions of people or tons of drugs coming to America, how are we supposed to stop a few firearms heading south?

And the big goal is to bring back the assault weapons ban with its magazine limits, but I believe any legislation would be dead on arrival to the current House and might not even pass the Dem majority Senate, especially right before the 2012 elections. People just spinning their wheels?

Think Obama would try to pass it as an executive order while running for re-election?
