Seems like a waste of tax payer money

Had a customer at the store today tell me that the county has been washing her street every day for almost a week now.

This seemed very strange to her so she stopped the gentleman and asked why. His response was Obama putting people back to work.

She lives way up Brook Forrest and I am just wondering if anyone else has this happening.

Seems dumb to wash the street when there are so many better things to do with the money.

I don’t live in Jeffco but if I did I would be calling to let them know what a waste I think it is.

Government's middle name is waste. What strikes me is how un green it is. They could reduce green house gases and give him a raise if they parked the vehicle and paid him to dig a hole and then fill it up using a shovel.

If Jeffco has nothing better for them to do maybe Obama could put them to work in Park County. Once again our road has not seen a grader in 6 months and I agree with the culvert cleaning. Everytime they grade we have to clean the culvet so we do not have to pay $200.00 for someone to clean it when it gets blocked up (been there done that).

I live way up brook first and haven't seen any street cleaning.....they only clean after they have been working on the road and have dirt on the road that needs to be swept up
I have no idea what she was talking about.

If they washed my road, it would disappear, its dirt! I would settle for a grader every few years if its not too much trouble. And before y'all get your panties in a bunch, I'd pay another 10 cents a gallon in gas tax no problem. Just stop with the Registration fees BS.

Yes, he did get that passed, unfortunately. Much better reform could have been created by a real leader, IMO.
