I have attempted to verify this story by searching a great number of Israeli Newspapers as well as Jewish papers here in the USA and have been unsuccessful. FYI this story comes from a French publication and is extremely anti-semitic. France itself has for decades been anti-semitic, and that is well documented.
To tell the truth, I'm not sure that I have ever known another Jewish person who didn't have and love dogs, so I have a very difficult time accepting the story.

A Jerusalem rabbinical court recently sentenced a wandering dog to death by stoning. The cruel sentence stemmed from the suspicion that the hound was the reincarnation of a famous secular lawyer, who insulted the court's judges 20 years ago.

I only post the publication I have no way of finding out if it is true. I just thought it was interesting true or not. Thanks for the info. Nothing was meant to offend. I have to admit though, I did look twice to see if it was the onion.

Israeli newspaper Maariv had originally reported that a dog had wandered into the Monetary Affairs Court in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighbourhood of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem, frightening judges and plaintiffs, who believed the dog was a reincarnation of a secular lawyer who insulted the court's judges 20 years ago.
Reports that the court decree the dog be stoned to death however have been dismissed by the secretariat of the court however, who said it was "bitter humour", and all that happened was the dog had been removed by the local dog catcher. Maariv newspaper apologised for the original report.
A court statement said: "There is no basis for stoning dogs or any other animal in the Jewish religion, not since the days of the Temple or Abraham."
And then the newspaper took it all back: On Wednesday, Maariv published a retraction apologizing for printing false statements and inflicting emotional pain on Rabbi Levin.

Is that good enough for you Blue Hair????
yep....I was simply responding to your post that you couldn't find anything from a Jewish source on this, and I found one in a 10 second google search.....It was not intended to be a response to whether or not the story was true, only to your inability to do a google search correctly. Maybe a computer/internet class would be helpful for you. Then, before you post stuff, you could actually check if it was true. What a novel idea.
Just for you I'm going to go with pink hair this month.
