Currently Romney and Huntsman are in hot water over their refusal to sign onto a anti-abortion document. Both men say they are pro-life, but don't agree with everything in the agreement.
Do you think we will ever see a Dem nominee who is against abortion or a Republican nominee who supports abortion rights? Notice I said nominee because I can see pro-life Dems and pro-abortion Republicans running for POTUS, but none would win the nomination.
Personally I think we would see a pro-abortion Republican being chosen before a pro-life Dem would win the nomination, in fact, the last pro-life Dem I can remember is Ritter and he caved to win the nomination.

Actually I would vote for a pro-choice Republican, while I don't like abortion personally, I think as a society, it is a good thing to have it legally available, along with birth control.
Guiliani was the last man I can remember running for President with a contrarian view to his party on this issue but his campaign was DOA.
For me, there are much more important issues than the abortion question.
Although I do know a couple Dem women who consider legal abortion to be the number one issue they vote on.

Abortion should be removed from the debate. Leave it out of politics. Due to things like the abortion debate we are tanking our country. Abortion will always be legal. Vote for someone who has a clue on how to get us back on the right track economically.
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
Could a pro-abortion Republican candidate steal an election from the Dems? Or do you think the anti-abortion Republican voters would stay home or vote 3rd Party?
And I have to agree with LJ, there are many pro-life Dems, especially from rural states. And you will find many pro-abortion Republicans in New England and other high population density states.
