House Republicans Creating Jobs!

lol
Since LJ's new mantra is that the House Republicans are doing everything but creating jobs, I thought I would address this. Seems House Republicans are going to allow incandescent bulbs to once again be sold in the United States. Think of all the old light bulb plants that will be re-opened. And since these burnout much faster than the mercury laced CFL's, they will need to be replaced and more produced.

And since they aren't as energy efficient, that many new coal mine jobs will be created.

towermonkey, they are pricey, but efficient. How is their life so far?

Seen all the new LED traffic lights starting to burn out? Do they have to replace the whole unit or just the burnt out parts?

I have only seen them in town so far, and it looks like either a few random spots burnt out or sometimes the center of the traffic light is burnt out.

Don't know why that would be, but I would chalk it up to poor installation. LED's should last about 8 times longer. The problem that I have heard of is that the incandescent bulbs generated much more heat and kept the snow from building up on the lights while the LED's just get covered.
