Anyone else find it disturbing how much you can find out about your neighbors? Don't know their last name, but know how much they paid for their home and what taxes they spend on them

I don't find it disturbing a all.
It is a public record.
Mine, yours and anyone else who purchases a home is a public record.

LJ....You are probably right on your read.

Saw it in The Flume notices. They had been trying to sell it before Emily died.

Lovely home. But with housing prices plummeting, many are finding it makes more business sense to let it go.

Really easy in the Real Estate boom to start with a fixer upper or nothing and add on or build and then end up upside down! I have sympathy for those that have done it but I can't help them as I am in the same boat as are most of us!! I just keep plugging at my bills and hope things turn around!!! I have learned a few lessons through it all but they don't help me right now. One day at a time and do what you hope is right. If we all had crystal balls this would be easy but we don't! Good luck to all!!!

A little bit. I find it more disturbing that their neighbors would look it up and kick it around like a soccer ball.

Why is this of any importance to any of you? If you knew the names behind many of the nicks on this forum, I am sure you could dig up some dirt. How is this important or newsworthy, to anyone but the Keyes? Life happens

It sounds as though you didn't bother reading the story. They are to be applauded for making the decision to work on the Emily Keyes Foundation at less money and adjusting to a smaller home.

You are correct, I did not read the article, just the tabloid style header.

Personally, I wouldn't comment on an article, reading only the headline. It could end up making you look foolish. But that's just me.

Challenge: Write a better headline in words you approve, using only six words.

The "tabloid style header" was factual. If you'd read the article you'd know that.
