No, I think the headline writer got it wrong.

So, what should be the correct headline? The report seems pretty clear and the headlines on the internet reflect the results of the study.

Sorry, they absolutely don't.

What's reported of the study simply shows that people who attend Fourth of July Parades are more likely to vote Republican.

There was no measure, nor attempt to measure, the level of patriotism of either Republicans or Democrats reported.

That is quite a leap. How is this post "unpatriotic"? It does not smear the founding fathers, our Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Revolutionary veterans, or anything else. How is it unpatriotic to expose (exose) the liberals for their hatred of our country and its founding principles?

Where on earth do you GET that from the study?

Talk about reading things into something that simply isn't there.

The gist of the study is that they found that patriotic people were Republicans and conservative. So that means that Democrats and liberal (progressives) are NOT.

Plus all of the posts the yearround by liberals on this forum that totally will not accept the authority of the Constitution.

You completely misunderstood what you read.

There is not even a mention of patriotism in the story other than to say that Republicans "see themselves" as more patriotic. And that wasn't even taken from the study, it was interjected as on opinion of the writer.

All the study says was that people who attend Fourth of July parades are (slightly) more likely to vote Republican.

The rest is all in your fevered imagination, preconceptions, rabid assumptions, and only seeing what you want to see.

Props for the way Major Bean took the leap from "Study: Republicans more patriotic than Democrats" to "Democrats Are Unpatriotic!!"

Rush would be proud.

Especially since the study shows no such thing.

All of life is measured by continuums. Patriotic is to the right and unpatriotic is to the left. Sure there are degrees, but some things require no "degrees" to be characteristic. Let's say that dog manure is to the left. How little dog manure is not dog manure? How unpatriotic is unpatriotic?
