Great books...

Excuse me, where's the PROOF that the image wasn't altered?

What type of proof would you want? and I'll see if I can provide it. What if I was to post the original file for you?

Then I'd say her reputation is prety well screwed. If she got her copy of the document off of any news source,in any sort of digital form. like everyone else did, then it was already going to show photoshop or illustrator evidence, because it would need to be resized so it doesn't take half an hour or more to load - something ANYONE who has ever made real effort on the internet and with large scanned documents knows. How come you don't know this?

What kind of proof? If she analized the ORIGINAL document - she did NOT - and then found it to be a fake. But she's not going to be able to do that, so it's a moot point. Any more than anyone could take your birth certificate in the original official form as filed in the state you were born in and analyze it. Access to those documents is NOT allowed, and especially not for a goose chase like this.

Until then, IMO, she's screwed herself. And that's what happens when people get over zealous about something and stop being able to think logically.

BTW - anyone publishes a lot of books on a subject does not necessarily make them an expert, merely a good bullsh*t artist. Don't believe me? Look at junior high and high school history textbooks - lots of facts omitted, and lots of 'new facts' included as revisionist histoyr is promoted. Especially textbooks that cover the Civl War. Bit it's ok, I guess, since we're not, by far, the only country to do this. You should see the revisionist history about the revolutionary war in in english textbooks. Or the german textbooks popular pre and during WWII.

Obiously you did not save the file to your computer. It was a PDF format file. It did not take that long to download. Maybe a minute. It was available from the whitehouse website. Not the news sources. It is still available there but they have made sure that you can no longer easily copy it.
Technical experts know that they need the original source file. Do not think that Mara is so ignorant as to accept a substitute. She is not just some barefoot, pregnant, housewife, in front of a hot stove. She is an educated, professional. Please give her a little credit for her accomplishments in the technical world.

Here is where you can download a copy of the PDF and save it to your computer. You will see that everything that the expert says can be view by you on this file.

In all fairness, I can say that this little joke/story could apply to any elected official in our world. But since it seems to fit our current President the best, he gets the rose pinned on him today.

Oh, and as you are enjoying your rights and freedoms today on our Independence Day, remember that it may have been God, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Right's that gave those freedoms to you...but is the men and women of the armed services who have and who continue to buy those rights and freedoms for you daily with their blood, sweat and tears. If you haven't served you may not understand this...but "freedom ain't free". Take a moment to remember THEIR sacrifices as you enjoy YOUR freedom today.

And now, on to the political joke:

A Sneaky Rooster Named Obama

Location: John’s Chicken Farm

John was in the egg business. He had several hundred young layers (hens), called 'pullets', and ten roosters to fertilize them. He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced.

This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells.

John's favorite rooster, Obama, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed Obama's bell hadn't rung at all! When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover.

To John's amazement, Obama had thought of a way to do it without work, he had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

John was so proud of Obama, he entered him in the Chicago County Fair and he became an overnight sensation among the judges. The result was the judges not only awarded Obama the No Bell Piece Prize but they also awarded him the Pulletsurprise as well.

Clearly Obama was a politician. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention.

Vote carefully in 2012, the bells are not always audible.

Happy Independence Day! :bbq2

Point lost on you, Major Bean - it is NOT the original, it IS an altered file, and unless your "expert" actually, physically had her hands on the original - which she did not - then her evaluation is worthless and utterly pointless.

This is just sad. I'm amazed that people lose their reason over stuff like this. In pursuit of attention this poor woman has flushed her professional credentials down the toilet.
