Republicans don't much care who owns The USA....as long as their taxes don't go up. They would sell their own grandma before they would pay more taxes.

Well, with our record huge deficits, haven't the Dems have been selling this country to China even more than the Repubs did? But both guilty IMO.

No way can you blame one party. Here's a conservative that believes that we bought it, so we have to pay for it. We have to cut spending and raise taxes both. Judiciously.

[sarcasm font]That's not true! I sent my Grandma (who has been dead for many years now, God rest her soul) a can opener and vouchers for dog food last week![/sarcasm font] By your logic Republicans will be strangling babies in their cribs to stop tax increases. Barry sold a big chunk of our debt to China and W had a hand in it too. STOP GUBMENT SPENDING ON PROGRAMS WE DON'T NEED!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

this is a man that the polls in the GOP say that he would be a front runner for primaries. He boasts about his running of the state of Texas. Selling the property of the US, whether it is owned by state or feds seems like it should be against the law or something.

Dosn't say that the governor is in favor of those bills- and sounds like the state congress is responsible for proposing them.

Dosn't sound like the tea party supports them either.

I'd be opposed to selling roads to private companies after they were built with taxpayer money. Seems to me to be double taxation- they taxed people to build them and then they will get taxed as they use them with tolls. Dosn't matter to me if it's a private company- a tax is a tax by whoever collects it, and these companies would have the backing from government to collect taxes.

I've heard of E470 motorists being fined $1000.00 for being late paying the tolls on that road here in Colorado- E470 is owned by a private company but backed by government powers.

I am opposed to toll roads in general- just don't like them and they seem to be un-American. If a private company wants to build the road with their own money and charge a toll- I guess I would not stop that from happening, but I would drive a long ways to avoid using it. The second reason I oppose toll roads is that I already pay gas and road taxes for roads- I expect to get what I pay for- not another government trick to collect my money and skip out on what was promised for it.

If a private company did this to us they would call it fraud and charge the company with comitting a crime.
