If she was taught gun safety by her father then he fails. I was taught that you never point a loaded firearm at anyone you didn't intend to kill. What an idiot. Fools like this do more harm than good.

With "friends" like this, gun rights proponents don't need enemies.

Also, what kind of an idiot would carry a gun without a safety in her purse?

Oh well.

Pretty soon she'll probably shoot herself "accidentally" and will be eligible for a Darwin Award.

Maybe she can get quick-draw lessons from that guy in Texas?

Agree, she isn't helping the cause.

Regarding the safety, I believe I know the gun she is carrying. It is a hammerless revolver. Trigger pull must be all the way back to fire. Designed for CC. Designed so a woman in trouble doesn't have to pull it out of her purse, but rather can fire while the attacker is unaware a firearm is nearby. I'm perfectly ok with that part.

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

Thanks for the clarification on the gun itself. It's comforting...a little....to know she's not as crazy as she could be.

But I am very far from being anti-gun and I still think she's an idiot.

The very first thing anyone picking up a gun learns is that you do not point it at anyone. Ever. Unless and ONLY if you intend to shoot them.

And only a complete and total idiot would point it at, of all people, a REPORTER!!!!!

It could be worse....she could have pointed at a cop. Do that in AZ and you're dead.

Bad call by this politician, but this is Arizona after all, home of Tombstone and the OK Corral.

Totally agree with that, and I know you aren't anti-gun. I was always taught the same thing. If you draw it, you better be prepared to shoot at the target. She is an idiot, and not helping her cause at all.
