For our sake, we certainly hope so too! rofllol

Hey now! That's just Viking that's loathsome at times, not the whole site! tongue:

My apologies to you, SC, I misspoke. I don't really think the site is loathsome.

But the results of some attempts at conversation are.

I think what frustrates me most is that I end up loathing myself every time I start posting here again. Each time, hope springs eternal that a meaningful conversation can be maintained, even though every time I end up dissapointing myself by allowing myself to get caught up in the mudslinging.

Again, sorry. It's not the site's fault. It's mine.

I have been home with Pneumonia for the last week and am grumpy! Sorry. Sick of sitting at home! That is why I have been posting so much. Hopefully over it by Monday.

Stay sick. You are taking up the slack left by Nmysys. Besides the left needs someone to really, really hate, disparage and sneer at.

No apologies necessary AV, I completely understand. Some people really get to me sometimes too, and I have to back away. Luckily, or unluckily, with my position I have to focus on keeping everything balanced and providing content all over the rest of the site so I can't get bogged down in just the political stuff like I used to (hence, the luckily, and unluckily, cuz that's usually fun for me; alas, my time on my favorite political stuff must be sacrificed somewhat, but it does help with the frustration too).

I hope you come to the picnic - meeting people really does help put them into perspective (ie when Viking's annoying me, I remember archer once mentioning him getting his tightey whitey's in a bunch, and now all I have to do is picture him huffing around like that and I just LMAO - frustration gone!). Before I met him in person, he really pi**ed me off! Same goes for RT, who's not been gracing us with his presence lately...

Isn't that how most stuff was built 40 years ago? I think we call those classics now.

Only the ones made by the sober people have become classics. The rest have become parts cars for the classics.

Times have changed. Those guys knew the rules before they showed up for work high.

I have seen drugging and drinking in both union and non-union shops. But I do know of 2 cases where the druggies were all fired in a non-union shop and have seen a number of non-union drunks fired. I have seen very little discipline used against union employees for the same offences.
