Really? I have a close friend that works TSA at DIA. She is a chipper and bright person, but when she's on the job, she is constantly in the spotlight. She can't ever let her guard down and be friendly. She has a job to do and you are the job. Everybody is suspect and she has to treat everyone like they are a potential terrorist.

In addition, every person she screens is grumpy and indignant at being treated like a potential criminal.

Think you'd like to do that job?

Nope and anyone wanting that job has issues.

maybe they feel that they are doing something to try to keep America safe? Personally, I do not think the TSA screening does make us any safer, but someone who works there and many others do

I don't either. I think it's theater to make people THINK they are safer.

Maybe they don't want *that* job but are willing to settle for *any* job in this economy....

I love that it prefaces most of the story by saying that it was "without the consent" of the TSA official.

So... in order to fly, and with agreeing to fly, you're consenting to being sexually assaulted? Good to know!

On the plus side, I hope they push that point... maybe put up warning signs:

"Warning: by entering this line, you are agreeing (by force of law) to be sexually assaulted. Please plan accordingly."

My step mom who is nearing 70, had been looking for work along with my dad for a year and finally got a job working at the for the TSA at DIA. She is working there for only ONE reason, SHE NEEDS A JOB. The job requires her to take tests often which challenge her to find suspicious objects which are intentionally placed in baggage and on persons. If she fails 3 tests withing a certain period of days (I forget how may) then she can be fired. These people have to live up to a high standard and it can be pretty stressful so I understand why they try to be as careful as possible.

That said, I can't recall every hearing about one of these people ever grabbing a breast and giving a "titty twister" to a passenger like this woman did. The people at the TSA are working under TSA rules, so if you don't like the rules DON'T F#CKING FLY!...and don't blame those who are struggling to find any kind of work. Seems like the liberals would understand this.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

And for those who struggled, and fought, and begged, to get a job that requires flying the length of the country each Monday and Friday?

I don't blame the TSA agents, and I'll never make their jobs hard for them, but there is a certain level of irony here, and I still really want a warning sign!
