I don't blame the agents themselves either but I also don't believe this makes us any safer. Life is inherently dangerous. There are better ways than this to screen passengers.

And for those who struggled, and fought, and begged, to get a job that requires flying the length of the country each Monday and Friday?
I don't blame the TSA agents, and I'll never make their jobs hard for them, but there is a certain level of irony here, and I still really want a warning sign!
People are not "forced" to fly just as my step mom is not "forced" to touch fat slobs who shower only when they can't stand their own stench. But both have to follow the rules that are put in place by their employers. If someone grabbed a hold of my step mom's breast (which isn't what TSA employees do), that would add even more stress to an already sh#tty job.
And I agree fully that much of the screening is a waste of time, but what is the safer alternative, and would you fly on planes that had very little screening? This is all a reaction to 9/11, and I remember clearly that in the months following that attack, people were overwelmingly receptive to more intense screening if it meant they could "feel" safer. As time goes on, people forget that fear are are less willing to go through those personal screenings.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
agreed.... crapping on the TSA agents is just a plain misdirection of anger. They are just doing their jobs, and as someone eluded to earlier, and lucky to have a job these days.

Thank you, that was my point entirely!
And Rosa Parks was not forced to ride the bus........

Agreed. I am not upset at the TSA agents for doing their jobs. They probably don't like it any more than we do. I am uset at the stupid policies that within a two week period had all over the news how they made a 95 year old take off her poopy depends o figure out what it was, arrested a mother for telling them not to feel her daughter, felt a 6 year old TWICE and in that same period a Nigerian man flew with fake ID's (plural), an outdated boarding pass that didn't match him, and did it on two flights. A couple tasers got on a plane and just the other day a lady got on 3 knives. This in NOT working!
agreed... now this is magnified because they are in the public eye. So when one stupid employee screws up, it's on the news (of course, news has turned into "infotainment" now, so they are trolling for such stories).
How many times do you deal with idiots that cannot think past their job description and use common sense to solve a problem? I run into it constantly. I keep saying to myself, you'd think in this high unemployment market, that only the best and brightest would be employed. I am disappointed daily.
As someone who fly's quite often I can tell you TSA employees are not the top picks for management at Mickey D's, therefore this is where they end up.
As far a safety, Ha years ago coming back from a hunting fishing adventure I was told my check in bag was over weight by about 3Lbs, I opened it and was going to remove a few things when the guy said take that little bag it weighs about that.
So I did, put it in the carry on and went to secutrity. After I laid it on the belt and went through the detector I remembered I have a skinning knife in there.
It went through the 2 TSA peeps were talking about what to get for lunch and I flew back with it in the overhead compartment.
So another waste of peoples time and no more safer than before 911.
