I think what is forgotten in all this is your right to peace and quiet. How many of you have lived across from a mosque or even near one? Did you hear the prayer call 5 times a day? Up here some people take objection when a neighbor puts up a light at night. They don't want the light pollution. Unfortunately, when people get crowded together some of those "rights" get trampled because our "rights" trample on other's "rights". If you moved to the mountains for peace and quiet, I do not think you would be very pleased to have a mosque open its door next to your property and then have a call to prayer blared over the loudspeaker. Just a thought.
If we had a "right" to peace & quiet, there would be no chainsaws, bad car mufflers, jake brakes or constantly-barking dogs. Or loud tvs and stereos. Motorcycles, atvs, emergency sirens, lawn mowers, target shooting, etc... I lived right next door to a mosque for two years and the call to prayer didn't bug me nearly as much as other noises do.
