Under Clinton, economic growth averaged 4.0 percent per year, compared to average growth of 2.8 percent during the Reagan-Bush years.
The Clinton economy created more than 22.5 million jobs in less than eight years—the most jobs ever created under a single administration, and more than were created in the previous Reagan/Bush 12 years. Of the total new jobs, 20.7 million, or 92 percent, were in the private sector.

Why Viking, do you blame the president for stuff you don't like if that president is a Democrat, but not congress if the congress is Republican.....then blame congress for stuff you don't like if they are Democrats and not the President if he is a Republican? I only see you lay the blame for crappy policy and/or bad results on Democrats. We didn't get into this mess solely on Democratic policies and spending habits......both parties have contributed to it, yet you can't see beyond your conservative colored glasses.

What's with the "you guys" I have seen many liberals here voice there disappointment in Obama and what he has done, also with the Democrats when they had control of the presidency, the House and the Senate. They royally pissed me off. You have to look at where the policy originates......with Bush, the war in Iraq originated with him.....as did the Tax cuts.......I will blame no one but him. I will give Obama the blame for not pushing for what the American people elected him to do....if he had pushed for a single payer system.....if he had done a much larger stimulous we would be better off than we are. Now, the Republicans have a chance to totally undo all the good that has been done, and he will get the blame for what the Republicans do. Go figure.
Clinton was very clever, in spite of a Republican congress he got a lot of his agenda passed, he was just that kind of person. I'll give credit to both Clinton and the congress for working together.....what a novel idea. An idea that is totally lost on both Republicans and Democrats today.
