Reid and the Dems are waking up to reality and caving in!

So you cite opinions as a source for your opinions, then criticize me for not contributing to the conversation. Better to contribute nothing than to try and post opinion as fact. I asked for a quote from Obama on another thread to back up your claim about what he said...you couldn't give it but would not admit you made it up....and you have the audacity to chastise me for calling you on it.

If you would just post what you know to be true with sources, or post opinions AS opinions and not facts we wouldn't be having this discussion.

So why does Obama want this to be a deal that goes beyond the election year? (silly question) Lets do a short term deal, and keep working on it thru the election. What better time to do it? Cut Cut Cut! And reform the whole tax code with simple rates!

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

Not so silly a question.....if our elected politicians can't get a long term deal done now, what makes them think they can do it in a few months? It's kicking the can down the road. They SHOULD have better things to do than to revisit the debt ceiling every few months

The debt ceiling is not the only issue, it is reform of the whole federal gov't. Tax code both individual and corp. SS, Medicaid, Medicare, review all spending in all depts. including military. Its way too big a problem to handle in one bill in a week or month or even thru the election year. At best you can set targets and work out details later.

And Bohner's plan is almost finished with the two teirs and the second teir says it works with the new plan base upon Obama's Congressional Commision reconmendations and Obama says he won't listen to them either! He is the most arrogant President ever! He says NO to the R's, the D's and his own congressional debt commission and then STILL tries to blame the R's. How stupid does he think Americans are?? No offense to the extremist libs on here who still have their head up his arse.

Sorry...Were raising taxes, and Obama can't say this publicly during the good faith negotiations but we always got the 14th amendmant and the country will see Obama as a real leader if he goes to that option. We hold all the cards- Obama, for political reasons would just rather include you in this process- the more times we get you on the record trying to cut Social Security and Medicare the better. It's all posturing right now and you live and die by every press conference like some sort of sap Viking

Had to document this one too so you can eat crow when taxes don't go up! Go back to the beach and leave politics to the intelligent and educated people.

Youre an idiot Viking, it's not even a real deadline. All we really have to do by August 2nd is raise the debt ceiling like we have 1000 times before. All this bluster is just a show for the simple minded...And spastics like you that are riding a roller coaster of emotion over this bullsh**.

Which other President raised the debt limit $2.3 trillion in one shot? Or about $6 trillion in 3 years?
