"Suddenly the most popular political figure in the Democratic party is . . . Ronald Reagan.
This month, House Democrats released a "What Would Reagan Do?" TV ad featuring a Reagan presidential radio address imploring Congress to raise the debt ceiling. The Gipper "raised the debt ceiling 17 times," the ad declares in an attempt to put pressure on House Republicans to vote for the debt ceiling extension before the August 2 deadline. Reagan is heard saying: "The United States has a special responsibility to itself and the world to meet its obligations." Failing to do so, he added would mean "interest rates would skyrocket, instability would occur in financial markets, and the federal deficit would soar."

:rofl rofllol I know! It is the funniest thing! They KNOW they can't run on Obama's record. So they have to go back to the greatest President in Recent History. Reagan. If they thought Clinton was so great they would be using him in their commercials! Proof that most all believe that Reagan was one of the greatest Presidents of our time!
I think the point here is that all these republicans always hold Reagon up as the holy grail or something and even HE understood what to do. Today's bunch can't even agree on what door to use when they walk out of the talks...
