Obama has reassured Japan and China

OK Mr. Billy-Ray Valentine. LOL

Randolph Duke: Exactly why do you think the price of pork bellies is going to keep going down, William?
Billy Ray Valentine: Okay, pork belly prices have been dropping all morning, which means that everybody is waiting for it to hit rock bottom, so they can buy low. Which means that the people who own the pork belly contracts are saying, "Hey, we're losing all our damn money, and Christmas is around the corner, and I ain't gonna have no money to buy my son the G.I. Joe with the kung-fu grip! And my wife ain't gonna f... my wife ain't gonna make love to me if I got no money!" So they're panicking right now, they're screaming "SELL! SELL!" to get out before the price keeps dropping. They're panicking out there right now, I can feel it.
[on the ticker machine, the price keeps dropping]
Randolph Duke: He's right, Mortimer! My God, look at it!

Joe, you can be the Stock Market expert if you want, it's a game I don't even want to play but an hour before the music stops on this game of musical chairs they are playing in Washington i'll be here with my buy recomendation...And I stongly suggest you take the free advice and buy. If we get that clean or slightly dirty bill before the markets open on Monday morning I can only gaurentee 25% on your money because the after hour traders will beat us to some of the profits.

Stay tuned friends

VL, you can buy your day-traded stocks or whatever if you want, but I think I'm going to buy "stock" in maybe some beans and rice and winter clothing and maybe a little more silver. I think there is every chance these idiots are going to take this puppy right off the cliff.

Nope- Why would either side cave in now? The only face saving option for both sides is a last minute clean bill to merely raise the ceiling. Something republicans should have allowed months ago, instead they threatened to blow up the country and the world to get a few things they want..It's a disgrace and Americans won't forget it.

yep, silver was going to the moon months ago, until the regulators suddenly changed the margin requirements (after tipping off their hedge fund buddies :) ). It dropped sharply at that time.

I have heard its better to invest in the actual mining companies compared to the commodity. At least for the little guy.

Who knows, I'm no expert VL, but I have studied markets for many years and read alot. I really don't have much faith in the integrity of the system anymore. Both Gov't and Wall St.

The small mining companies are paying bigger returns, and some budding tech stocks on small companies are also providing great returns.

I do think there are opportunities in small companies. I follow some that I've worked at, and some that I knew about from work (I.e. suppliers, competitors).

I had an opportunity to work for a start-up company in Denver 2 yrs ago, all compensation was in potentially worthless private stock shares though. It was tempting, but I wasn't impressed with their business plan or their head business guy so I turned it down. It was an electric motorcycle, they even showed me the prototype.
