Denver ballot proposal would mandate sick leave

Sick time in most small companies means "bring a note from your doctor" in my experience. However, some generous employers make it sick or PTO at their discretion... Or would that be too much of a violation of your extremist hypothetical?

The only liars I've seen around here lately are Viking and PrintSmith.... But I'm sure I can refer back to my archived list of Republican Corruption and get some more names for you, if you like...

Wouldn't you also like to take time off if your child was sick and you had to stay home from work to take care of them? You couldn't send them to school and how are you going to find at-home day care on such short notice? You could use your vacation time I guess.... But don't most businesses require notice for vacation?

I just checked and I have a balance of 330.42 hours of sick time banked (little over 41 days).

I don't get sick often. When I am I just need to call in that morning. I have, on a few occasions, donated days to fellow employees that have had prolonged illness or injuries. I am only allowed to carry over so much at the end of the year. What I can't carry over I lose.

If I were a slacker I could be sick every Friday. Nobody takes advantage of this where I work.
