Spiderman is now half Black, half Hispanic and maybe Gay was created by The Viking

So is this going too far for political correctness? Why did they have to kill of the White Peter Parker and replace him with a half black, half latino, possibly gay spiderman? What was wrong with just making a new character that way?

The same reason any comic book character is killed off - ratings/sales of a dramatic event or the writers are burned out.

Making a new character means not hooking the current fans - gives you an automatic base to sell to. (You're a capitalist conservative and I have to explain this?) rofllol Sorry, I couldn't resist! You know I'm kidding!

Like SC says, comic books are hurting and like to shake things up now and again. I remember them killing Superman. (He got better.)

Spiderman is not killed off. He is now a mutant and will do his heroics along with the Wolverine, etc. LOL

rofllol :rofl The story is based around the fact that he snuck across the border illegally and thus needs to wear a mask so he killed off White Peter Parker and took over his job. A very fitting analogy!
