I thought the line was that Rush Limbaugh ran the Republican Party. But now the the Tea Party has emerged, I guess that is now "yesterday's" Democratic talking point. Although it is easier to see the Tea Party influence since they actually elect some people.
I have become un-employed multiple times during my career due to cutbacks, business slow downs, and companies going under. That's life, you move on and adapt. I am unemployed for my second time in this recession. Big Whoop. Why are these federal employees more important than me?
The alternative is a crushing federal debt and a Trillion/yr interest payment coming soon for your grand kids.
If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2
Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

Yeah, it's sad when a business has to make a difficult decision and cut people in tough times. But if you are talking about the survival of the business, it becomes a necessary choice. Even liberal business owners/CEOs realize that. I've seen it in my own experience when us managers were required to make cuts and our CEO was a Dem. Sometimes it can be limited to under performers, but if it's a department or fixed number that is being cut you end up losing very good people. Companies can only afford to lose money for a certain length of time.
Why is it unacceptable then for government to do the same thing in tough times? Hey, they actually do it to some extent. But as our debt keeps growing to huge amounts, perhaps more cuts need to be made? I don't agree with Wayne here. But I'm also willing to find ways to raise revenues in tough times as well.
