Fox News Hosts Admit They've 'Pulled Punches' With Sarah Palin
ORIGINAL POST: Two Fox News hosts admitted on Wednesday that they have sometimes held back from criticizing Sarah Palin because she is their "coworker."
Greg Gutfeld and Bob Beckel, co-hosts of Fox News' 5 PM show "The Five," were discussing Palin—who makes at least $1 million a year as a Fox News contributor—on the show Tuesday. Gutfeld, who also hosts the late night show "Red Eye," said he felt awkward whenever the subject came up.
“The only problem with talking about Sarah Palin is that she works here, and it’s like a coworker," he said. "And if I say something bad and I see her in the hallway I feel really awkward and wrong. So I just kind of say, ‘that was a good job!'"
Beckel agreed.
“It has nothing to do with that," he said. "It has everything to do with your paycheck. That’s why you feel awkward. I know exactly what you mean. I’ll be honest, I’ve pulled my punches.”
THEN the Corporate "suits", i.e., Roger Ailes and Rupert "The Hacker" Murdoch got to them, and:
UPDATE: Greg Gutfeld and Bob Beckel told the Associated Press that they were only joking when they said they'd held back from criticizing Sarah Palin.
Beckel said that nobody at Fox News has ever told him to hold back about anyone, and that "I'd punch them out if they did."
And every network other than Fox (which Obama is afraid of) pulled punches for him in spite of Hillary having more experience and being a better candidate. And Beckel is a far left nut like you LJ, so why would he pull any punches? Him and that turtle head Colmes scream at the top of their lungs defending the current failure every time I see them on Fox.
So tell me LJ, will the MSM, Huff Rag, MSNBC etc hold Obama's feet to the fire this time when it comes to his pathetic performance? We already know that the Republican nominee will need a fire suit and a bulletproof vest to hold off the liberal media attacks so should Obama be exempt once again?
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Bill O'Reilly has admitted he pulled punches when he has interviewed Obama in the past.
Would you prefer softballs directed at possible candidates or should we treat the guy running this country into a ditch with kid gloves instead? I know who I would direct my tough questions to.

Obama is afraid of Fox? Funny, he has appeared on their network and given them interviews. Hardly sounds like he's afraid of them. Is Colmes still working for Fox? I thought he left a few yeas ago.
Maybe he's not afraid, but he sure does mention them a lot along with Hannity and Limbaugh. I've never seen a president who's skin is so thin that he wastes the energy blasting individuals who disagree with him. He really needs to grow a pair and accept the job without whining and blaming (and more blaming).

I don't necessarily think it's disagreement with Fox & Limbaugh, more likely he just wishes they would stop throwing out misinformation and lies.
