Big Apple

Now that Apple's market cap is bigger than Exxon .... .

Where are all the liberals screaming about how big Apple is today? How their profits have been on the back of slave Chinese and Taiwan labor and all the little batteries in IPODs and IPADS are creating toxic waste nightmares?

Apple has disrupted too many US businesses and has put thousands of Americans on unemployment while using slave labor to create it's products overseas.... where's the libtards....

Come on ... it's ridiculous I have to even pay for an IPAD....

Both Apple and Micro$oft are way too big for their own good and for market competition. No surprise there. Been that way for years. I totally agree, however, that something needs to be done about letting these giants use cheap overseas labor to assemble their products at the expense of local jobs here at home. As to not paying for an iPad... well... that's just stupid. Of course you have to pay for a product you wish to use.

Up until a few years ago Apple was always a fringe player. They still are in terms of computers. What got them going was the iphone. Apple is a wealthy not big company. Their market share is surpassed by many other technology companies.

If you honestly believe you can force companies from going overseas, you are dreaming. Impose more regulations and they will pull up roots and move overseas period. Why do you think India is so popular for outsourcing. Not only are these people well educated, but also willing to work for far less. China is also showing considerable computer savvy and I would not be surprised to see more domestic companies pull up stakes here entirely and move over seas. You simply can not force companies to operate where you think they should. Companies are not created to support welfare. They are created to make money and that will continue to be that way. I imagine you are quite pleased not to have to pay so much for the computer you are using. Well, guess what. You are able to see these prices because a company uses inexpensive labor. Produce it domestically and expect to pay twice what you are paying now. The choice is yours, you just can't have it both ways. One more thing mentioned once before in another thread is that we could just boycott them. No big deal. The reason Apple got so big is not because of US sales, but global sales. The same is true for Microsoft, Exxon, and a host of other companies. It is a global economy, not domestic.. Produce it domestically and expect to pay twice what you are paying now. The choice is yours, you just can't have it both ways.

There is this funny little thing called tariffs that might come in useful. Lots of countries impose them, why not us? Fine, move your company where labor is much cheaper and there are fewer (if any) regulations, but guess what, we'll just slap this lil' ole thing called a tariff on that item and voila, the price ain't so much cheaper any more. Got to think outside the cage occasionally.

Apple uses slave labor - literally - to build the IPODS and IPADS....it's disgusting and vile. The problem with libtards is they will do anything to save the sea full of seafood from oil but they will not do a dare thing to help to save Chinese people who are being paid low wages and forced to live on compounds.
