Libertarian Islands - A real Galt's Gulch

Here it is folks- the real life version of Galt's Gulch, the community that all the producers went to when the looter government in Ayn Rands Atlas Shrugged got so oppressive with class warfare and anti-business regulations that the producers just opted out.

They are called "libertarian Islands".

The idea is for these countries to start from scratch--free from the laws, regulations, and moral codes of any existing place. Details says the experiment would be "a kind of floating petri dish for implementing policies that libertarians, stymied by indifference at the voting booths, have been unable to advance: no welfare, looser building codes, no minimum wage, and few restrictions on weapons."

I'll be very interested in how this project develops- heck it might be a good place to retire.

They're building a floating, human-made island with "looser building codes." Should be interesting to see who they turn to when they sink or get swamped by a hurricane.

Maybe the Tea Partiers will all move off shore.
