The Greece-Somalia one hits home for me. I hear too many times here, why are we giving out foreign aid when Americans need it more. Excuse me? $25 to an American family is one meal at McDonalds but a couple weeks of food for a Somali family and likely the difference between life and death.
Then again, charity food aid is getting stolen in Somalia and selling at the local markets.

That one is sad indeed. I do believe many Americans will find greater identity there in the years ahead. We've been so spoiled that anything less will be a major adjustment all of us will need to make. That illustrated by income steadily loosing the race against housing, insurance, etc.
One that strikes me is the tough new immigration law. It really is a joke.
See, I have an issue with that statement about the $25... it's kind of the opposite of ethnocentric- a willingness to see how bad it is elsewhere, yet assume that everything is hunky dorry here.
I have a friend who is living in her car with her husband and son in SC. To them, $25 is a freaking miracle, and well over a weeks worth of food, in U.S food markets. They would not blow it at McDonald's. If I could, I would help them more, but I cannot. But I should tell them they are in a good place, because after all, they could be in Somalia?
Life is very tough all over the world for a great number of people.

That is a bummer. At least when I was in a situation like that, I did not have a family with me. It's got to be crushing, but obviously they are proud people, who will look to find a way out. Hope they find a viable solution quickly.
Just wanted to thank you again for taking such good care of me tonight. Hours in the emergency room are boring as heck. You can name you price. lol Pain meds kicking in. Love you My Rock!
