Wow!

An Alaska mother of six has been found guilty of child abuse for forcing her son to drink hot sauce and take cold showers on a taped segment of the "Dr. Phil" show.

How intelligent can you get? She did all this on camera. I think they and should send her out to a nice grizzly inhabited area for a few days.

I think Dr. Phil is responsible.

lol My mom would have gone to jail too. My younger brother had a foul mouth and he would get the full treatment, soap and pepper in his mouth.

Funny how what used to be though of as mild punishment is now a jail term.

Yep, I had no idea I was so abused as a child. I guess this means that every time I watch 'A Christmas Story' I'm witnessing little Ralphie enduring a horrible episode of child abuse.

When you punish kids that way, you are saying to your child that it is OK to treat other people that way.

I agree with Super Nanny--time outs done the correct way and consistently.

Worked for my kids. they got the message without the physical hitting or other ridiculous punishments.
