Gov. John Hickenlooper's administration is spending more than $200,000 to do something no other governor has tried: asking everyone who gets a state paycheck what they like — or hate — about their jobs.
Hickenlooper, a Democrat, isn't contacting workers himself, but his administration is sending e-mails or letters to nearly 100,000 people who are listed on the state's most recent payroll report.
