NPR had a story this morning about this vurtual currency. The man who developed it designed it as a currency that has a finite amount of units, so no inflation like the US dollar!
It would be great if bitcoins became the world reserve currency. People would have a safe place to store their savings. Then if they needed actual dollars to pay their taxes, they could just buy them.
