There's a family-values divide between red states and blue states, two researchers say, but the differences might surprise people on both sides of the political spectrum. The states that voted Democratic in the last two presidential elections have the lowest rates of divorce and teen pregnancies. And the red states had the highest.

NPR explained away the high divorce rate by saying marriages were much more common in Red States, hence divorces are more common.

I would like to see if higher abortion rates in Red States equate to higher birth rates in Blue States.

that hardly explains the higher teen birth rates....but maybe the higher porn sales explains that?

Actually the Right-Religious types discourages sex and even masturbation.

Wheras Surgeon General Elders thought we should teach kids how to masturbate. Would keep pregnancies down, but I didn't think you needed to learn how to do it.
