The allegations made by Elk Creek Fire Department interim Fire Chief Pete Igel against board President Tim Biglen in the May 12 monthly board meeting have been determined to be "unfounded," according to Elk Creek Fire Department Public Information Officer Jody Wagner.

Although Wagner could not remember the exact legal terms used in the case, she told The Flume in an Aug. 19 phone interview: "We have very exciting news. The investigation that involved allegations by the interim chief (Igel) that the president of the board, Tim Biglen, was intimidating him is complete, and they've determined that those allegations are unfounded."

The investigation began in May 2011 and was carried out by the Denver-based law firm Nathan, Bremer, Dumm and Myers P.C., said Elk Creek Fire Administrator Annie Igel

"Did so."

"Did not."

I wonder how much that investigation cost taxpayers?
