Hey RocDoc, have you looked into the work being done in North Dakota? I heard there were lots of jobs up there, big oil drilling going on.

I want to personally thank you for your service in supplying all Americans with the oil products we all use on a daily basis! Keep up the good work. Cheers! :)

I'd also like to thank all the defense contractor workers that designed all the awesome military technology that we all take for granted. I've worked on some myself in the past, but I can't give any details. Sorry.

And while you are enjoying your labor day beer and burgers, be sure to thank Wall street for providing a capital market for your company pension fund and IRA/401K investments.

If it's a tribute to worker's labors, then shouldn't the bosses be thanking the laborers, not the laborers thanking the bosses? It's LABOR day, not supervisors day.

Oh I think bosses and supervisors are laborers too, I know plenty that work very hard and put in long hours. The holiday should celebrate the original Labor movement, which served a good purpose in its time IMO. Today's politicized, failing unions are a whole different story.

The early labor unions did much to help out the American worker, and deserve our thanks.

IMO, Labor Day should be a day for recognizing the contributions of all workers, whether union or non union. They have been, and continue to be, the backbone of our nation.
