Makes sense to me....oil companies provide a neccessary product that makes our lives easier and they also creaate jobs that taxpayers don't have to fund. Then the government gets billions in revenue in taxes from the corp and the employees.
On the government side, they create nothing other than jobs we all pay for, they create massive beaurocracies that make efficiency impossible, and they rob us at every opportunity to fund whatever they want (or what their special interests want).
Who here is really ever pleased with the government regardless who is in office?

When the conservatives are in power (they have not been since 1988) I just think government is too big and needs a large scale back in scope and budget.
When the liberals are in power (like now) I think we need to vote the liberals out of power because government is too big and needs a large scale back in scope and budget.
