ATF's Fast & Furious Fallout?

The head of the ATF who authorized giving money to civvies so they could buy semi-auto firearms and .50 calibre rifles to trade across the border has been punished. tongue: He was transferred to another bureau. (Reuters today.)

This is such BS. The Feds spend 3 years trying to find out who outed Valerie Plame but give a mild slap on the wrist to the people who spent taxpayers dollars equipping Mexican drug cartels.

They wanted to get him shuffled around before the election. Imagine that, the socialist wanted to use this program as a why to enforce more gun control in the US.....but it backfired....literally!

I'm against gun control and restricting the rights of US citizens in direct conflict with what the constitution and bill of rights grant us. Changing the ATF regulations to allow legitimate citizens to buy firearms they want is a great stride forward. What I can't follow is the logic behind the ATF knowingly arming Mexican drug cartels with AK-47s, it's the same logic that dictates that if you are in debt over your head the right thing to do is to barrow more money and spend it as quickly as possible on programs that don't improve the economy.

Why aren't Holder & the ATF execs brought up before Congress to explain what the hell was up with this goofy program? This operation had fail written all over it.

Why is it that I don't see this story on the MSM? I've been looking for it to see how it gets spun and it's obviously not as news worthy as I think it should be.
