Not helping Mr. Obama’s re-election chances is a report that this group retains no particular political loyalty, according to Mr. Conway. “Millennials are solutions-oriented,” he told Anneke E. Green of The Washington Times. “They have their own recommendations, they want to be heard, and they want results.” The problem is things just keep getting worse. According to a 2010 poll commissioned by Rock the Vote, 59 percent of this demographic says they feel more cynical about the political process than they did in 2008. This cynicism could be a sign of progress. Perhaps next year, young voters won’t be so easily duped by empty slogans.

If true...they're going to have to vote for a 3rd party candidate.

The operative word here is "if true" and the story appears to assume ALL the youth will vote for the same candidate, or that they will even vote.

if they "feel more cynical about the political process than they did in 2008" who's to say they'll even participate in 2012?

It's going to be interesting to see how many 20 year olds who have graduated from college, have thousands in student loans, and have no job vote.....after voting for Obama in 08.

My faith in the youth of America is restored! Now if they could just do something about all that loud thumping music, pull their pants up, stop piercing every part of their bodies, and start getting those facial tattoos removed...

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

I'm not sure they have more student loans because of Obama. College graduates have always had student loans. Even the ones who voted for McCain have student loans.

True, but over the past two decades....school costs continued to rise....and the amount of student loans taken over the past five years are at an all time high.

Many college grads are BANKRUPT....yet they get no relief from Sallie Mae.

Over the past two decades...ALL COSTS HAVE CONTINUED TO RISE and most costs are at an all time high. School costs aren't any different.
