I have to agree with you here. The American people are better than their elected representatives. We've let them distract and deflect us and pit us against each other while they rake up fruits of our labor. If we don't wise up we'll end up as wage slaves without hope of the American dream. What I see here every day makes me lose hope. Everyone is more interested in making the "other" side look bad than they are in teying to find a real world solution. Anyone who makes jokes in the midst of this deserves a government that treats them as a lackey.
