The dark horse presidential candidate rolls out his jobs plan


Huntsman was the first GOP candidate to actually unveil a jobs plan (this morning), which is a step in the right direction in my book as it is the single most important thing we should be talking about in terms of 2012. He's got a host of initiatives which I'll link to below, but for starters here is what he'd do on taxes:


Simplify The Personal Income Tax Code And Lower Rates.
Eliminate The Alternative Minimum Tax.

Eliminate The Taxes On Capital Gains And Dividends In Order To Eliminate The Double Taxation On Investment.

Reduce The Corporate Rate From 35% To 25%.

So while the rest of the 2012 candidates take their carnival freakshow on the road here we have a candidate demonstrate what serious and responsible politics looks like. Of course in todays political climate that makes him a non-starter. :bash

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Never overestimate the population of the US when it comes to electing terrible candidates.

It appears we get exactly the candidates we deserve; the Democrats a spineless ineffectual fool, the Republicans ignorant, narrow minded caricatures.
