Never mind that inconsequential Atlantic storm folks (never going to hit land), this is the one to watch. I suggest panic and preparation, and immediately fill up your gas tanks, as this one could shut down the gulf refineries.
You heard it hear first folks!
Scooped you again VL!
"Although Tropical Storm Katia continues to roar far out in the open Atlantic, there's another weather system in the Gulf of Mexico that residents from Texas to Florida will need to keep an eye on this Labor Day weekend. The National Hurricane Center reported that the slow-moving Gulf system has a high chance of becoming a tropical depression or tropical storm within the next few days, perhaps as early as today."
No, no relation to Accuweather, though the accuracy of my Hurricane forecasts is legendary!
Sheets of rain and possible 60mph winds in Louisiana overnight. Oil prices going up Monday!
I'm in Gunnison, on the way to Durango tomorrow. I'll post pics of what we had for breakfast and some cigars tomarrow.
Bailey Bud are you around, lets have a beer, what are the best breweries in Durango?

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.
In my opinion, the best place for a burger and brew would be Steamworks.
Thanks! Actually we went to them all. Carver, Steamworks, and Durango. I like Carver the best (Colorado Trail Brown ale), Durango had $2 happy hour pints. I guess there is an SKA somewhere too, but not downtown.
Lake Vallecito was nice too. Durango is awesome, you are lucky to live there!
