Scholarships For Being Homosexual?

Story on NPR this morning about this college, Emerson I think, that gives a 1/3 of tuition off if you admit to being gay on your application.

Nice to see finally an advantage to being homosexual, but how many kids do you think will lie about it to get the money?

For 1/3 off of $20,000, I would be willing to act.

Chances are - there's no financial advantage to being gay.

The school is simply branding some funds ---- and swapping them out for funds they'd normally award - simply for breathing.

I suppose it's interesting and telling that a school would want to promote the scholarship, though.

With New England being saturated with colleges - each school needs to carve out a niche to ensure it survives.

I'm guessing Emerson wants to own the "gay friendly" niche.

I'm guessing the college president will also pay a fundraising visit to Barney Frank's office.

What's next ....if you claim you're homosexual and agree to move to Detroit with the Muslims you will get 50% off real estate taxes.

I wonder if I can get 1/3 off at Emerson for claiming I fart after I eat beans.
