Obama: One and Done?

Maureen Dowd Op-Ed:

On the razor’s edge of another recession; blocked at every turn by Republicans determined to slice him up at any cost; starting an unexpectedly daunting re-election bid; and puzzling over how to make a prime-time speech about infrastructure and payroll taxes soar, maybe President Obama is wishing that he had thrown the game.

The leader who was once a luminescent, inspirational force is now just a guy in a really bad spot.

Obama should have focused on jobs and the economy on day one....now he will propose too little to late. Fail.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

At this late date in his term it looks pretty bad. 54% of Americans aren't happy with what he's done or where we are going.

53% or 54%, given the margin of error, means half are happy. Half are not. It's meaningless.

"Sixty-eight percent disapprove of the way the Republicans in Congress are doing their jobs, a point from the record high in ABC/Post data since 1994. (And 15 points more than Obama’s 53 percent disapproval.) Notably, cutting through partisan predispositions, 33 percent of Americans disapprove of Obama and the Republicans in Congress alike."

Typical dishonesty from ABC

Summer of Discontent Slams Obama and Republicans – ABC News / Washington Post Poll

I like how they don't include Democrats in the headline. How do the people rate Democrats in congress wayne?

MSNBC did have a revised report on Americans disatisfied with congress as a whole. Same % give or take. USA Today had one recently stating it was 68% as well.

The American people are pretty fed up with both parties. This will, in turn, drive down the number of people who vote. The United States has only been around for less than 250 years -- not long, as the history of governments go. Time will tell if we're reaching a tipping point where it will be superseded by a new government, built upon the mistakes made by this one.

According to alot of financial experts and newsletters we may just be heading in that direstion.
They are predicting alot more upsets, and harder times for Americans.
One report states that the government has been stockpiling dried food and non perishables in their secret bunkers, not for use by FEMA or others.
(It's not a conspiracy theory it was reported back in May by most news agencies.)

Is anyone here happy with any politician? If they are, they aren't paying attention.
